NAEA Testifies Against Enrolled Agent User Fee Increases
NAEA testified against proposed increases to Enrolled Agent user fees during a May 11 hearing, which was held via teleconference before the IRS and the Treasury. Speaking first, Eva Rosenberg, EA testified about difficulties associated with the Special Enrollment Examination as well as IRS service issues. Ms. Rosenberg is a Member of both NAEA and CSEA.
NAEA Executive Vice President Megan Killian spoke next, noting that IRS failed to explain any meaningful changes since the last fee increase took place in 2019, any added benefit for services to EAs, or any justification of the reallocation of certain labor costs. Read the full testimony
