Taxation: Electronic Payments: Penalties
Currently, law requires electronic tax payments to the Franchise Tax Board, with a 10% penalty for non-electronic payments. SB 591 would reduce the penalty to 1% and waive the penalty for a first violation on payments made after January 1, 2026.
